This web site deals with the issue of family law in Canada. We encourage all Canadians, both male and female, to share their experiences in the hopes of working towards a fairer and more just system where all parties are treated equally. By contributing your story to us and allowing us to share it with others, we hope to be able to initiate positive change so that those caught in the system in the future will not have to endure the same tragedies that we experienced.

Who are we? The authors of this web site have had unfavourable experiences with the Canadian family law system, and we thought it would be a good idea to not only share our stories, but to have a place where others could share their stories as well.

Our objective: To gather, compile and publish true stories from Canadians who have been treated unfairly by the justice system with regard to family law.

If you would like your story to be considered for publication on this web site and possibly in a printed book to be published in the future, please email us and describe what happened to you. Please try and include the following information:

• What were the circumstances of the initial separation?

• How were you treated in family court? Please describe.

• What was the legal outcome?

• Were children involved?

• Were there restrictions on child access?

• Were there charges laid against you?

• Related to sexual abuse? Physical abuse? Emotional / Mental abuse? Assault?

• Were these charges justified or contrived?

• Did any charges result in conviction?

• Were any convictions appealed?

• Was the appeal successful?

• How did this ordeal affect you financially, mentally, etc.?

• Do you feel that your lawyer did a good job? Why, or why not?

• Did you feel that their hands were tied because of the system?

• Have you been able to move on with your life? Why, or why not?

• Any other information that you would like to share
